Get stuck into the Kaituna Waterfall river adventure in the heart of the best rafting region of Rotorua, New Zealand. Tighten your grip as you plunge down Tutea Falls - the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall boasting an almighty 7 metre drop. It’s not for the faint-hearted you only need to be adventurous, not experienced, to tackle this adventure. Our expert guides have got you covered with initial training and safety guidelines.
Build up the anticipation of Tutea Falls 7 metre drop with rushing white water rapids and two smaller waterfalls before facing up to the big one! Calm pools of recovery after each drop allow you the time to catch your breath and look back in awe at what you just paddled through. The full Kaituna Waterfall experience is 2.0 - 2.5 hours with white water river action around 50 minutes.

The Okere (Kaituna) River is situated at Okere Falls, between Rotorua (20 minutes drive) and Tauranga (45 minutes drive).
Age Limit: 10 years (half river experience) or 13 years for full experience and must fit safety equipment.
Weight Limit: recommended minimum of 40kg and maximum of 125kg
Equipment: We provide wetsuits, fleeces, booties, splash jackets, buoyancy aids, and helmets. Customers need to bring a swimsuit and towel.
Transport: From Rotorua central is available on request. Alternatively you can meet us at our Kaituna River Base (plenty of free, safe parking).
Trips: Available all year round – Summer (Labour Weekend to Easter Weekend) 9am, 12.30pm or 3.30pm daily; Winter 10am or 2pm (End of Easter Weekend to beginning of Labour Weekend). Flexibility for groups. Allow 3 hours in total.
